Amy Gjesdahl

Amy concentrates her practice on adult and minor's guardianship, probate and trust administration, and litigation for vulnerable adults against abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking elaborate meals for friends and family and competing in races.

I find it rewarding to help my clients navigate through issues related to Elder Law and Guardianship, which can be complex and trying. It is my goal to minimize the stress of this process, while striving to obtain the best possible resolution for my clients and their families. Amy Gjesdahl


Prior to joining our firm, in December 2017, Amy practiced for six years with the Cook County Public Guardian, where she represented the Public Guardian as legal guardian for disabled adults and served as the court appointed Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected minors. She has also served as a staff attorney with the 18th Judicial Circuit Court and clerked with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Domestic Violence Division. Amy’s past experience has provided her with a broad background in probate matters, litigation, and client counseling.
