This program, presented by a neuropsychologist and an elder law attorney, will discuss: the role of a neuropsychologist in objectively evaluating mental capacity for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment; the primary uses of a neuropsychological assessment; the levels of mental capacity needed to execute Powers of Attorney for Healthcare and Property; the rights and responsibilities of an agent under power of attorney; the guardianship process; and the role, authority, and powers of a guardian.
CEUs and Registration: 1.5 Continuing Education Credit will be awarded to Illinois Social Workers, Counselors, Nurses, and Nursing Home Administrators for $10.00.
