In partnership with Northwest Community Hospital’s Parkinson’s Support Group, Partner Melissa Kallio, JD, CELA, will be presenting on legal preparation for when you or a loved one is diagnosed with a chronic medical condition, including dementia. This session will address important documents such as Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and Wills, and will address questions such as “What legal options are available in planning and paying for long-term care?”; “How can Medicare, Medicaid, long-term care insurance, and personal care contracts maximize your quality of life?”.  This is a community presentation and RSVP is required to attend. CEUs are not available.

Partner Melissa Kallio, JD, CELA

Attorney Melissa Kallio, a Partner at Dutton Casey & Mesoloras, is one of only a few Certified Elder Law Attorneys in Illinois. She concentrates her practice in elder law, which includes Medicaid planning and applications, adult guardianship estates, trust and estate administration, and estate planning. Melissa also serves as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem (GAL) and counsel for Respondents in guardianship estates. She frequently presents to attorney, consumer, and healthcare professional groups on a variety of elder law topics.
